This extraordinary piece of wood came from a Black Walnut tree that grew along the banks of the Columbia River, in the state of Washington. This Black Walnut tree was considered one of the oldest known Black Walnuts growing in the state. At it's narrowest point, this walnut tree measured six feet across.
