There are over 20 species of walnut of which Bastogne is the rarest. Bastogne (Paradox) is the result of cross pollination between english walnut (Juglans regia) and California claro walnut (Juglans hindsii). This tree was first discovered by the famous botanist Luther Burbank. Bastogne is known for being very hard and displays the characteristics of both english and claro walnut. Over time this blank will turn a warm peach/apricot color. Three of the pictures were taken dry with no finish applied, the dampened pictures were taken using alcohol. Price: $475.
