Exhibition Grade California Claro Walnut Burl Gunstock Blank. 2 3/16" Thick x 4 1/4" to 7 3/8" Wide x 18 5/8" to 19 1/2" Length. Quarter-sawn claro walnut burl/fiddleback gunstock blank. This blank has been air dried for over 8 years and includes a matched forearm. Where the action meets the wood the blank measures 1 15/16" thick, and is 2 3/16" thick through the balance of the blank. We included a close-up of only one minor blemish (open burl eye) that is easily filled. On a scale of 1 to 5 in grading claro for hardness, 5 rating the hardest, this blank rates 3. Price: $200.
