The design concept for this table was inspired by the cantiliver structure of Frank Loyd Wright's famous Fallingwater house in Pennsylvania. The four foot top slab incorporates two walnut species (English and Claro) meeting where the tree was grafted. The legs are Redwood with walnut stain and Maple feet.
This table was hancrafted by Donald Dalke, who lives and works in the Sierra Nevada Mountains above Arnold California. His goal is to display the beauty and diversity of native California hardwoods in their most natural condition. The resulting tables have unembellished thick slab tops with natural edges.
